RecipesApple Bread (batter Bread)
2 cups sugar
1 cup canola oil
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup sour milk (add 1 teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice to fresh milk)
1 teaspoon soda
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups chopped apples
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Measure all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until thoroughly combined. Divide the batter between 2 greased loaf pans. For smaller loaves, divide the batter between three or four loaf pans. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or until the loaves feel set when tapped. At times I have had to bake the loaves for 10 or 15 minutes more. If you are making smaller loaves, you might have to bake the loaves for a shorter period of time (maybe 45 or 50 minutes).
Allow to cool before removing from the pans.
Serve Apple Bread with butter or cut into larger pieces and serve with ice cream or whipped cream. (You can cut out this part here between the parenthesis if you are using the article because the Articles Base website requires a mininimum of 250 words for an article and there"s nothing more I can say about the recipe. It"s a recipe! I can"t add things to the recipe that are not in the recipe.)
Note: Batter will be stiff.
