A great bouncer must familiarize themselves with the barò€™s protocols and basic procedures. They should also know how the bar employs its employees. Sometimes itò€™s a volatile environment and it might at times be necessary for the bouncer to protect the bar from its patrons and vise versa. Because of this, bouncers must also learn the barò€™s routine such as dancing, live bands, and special intermissions. They also help to keep the aisles moving and to protect the waitresses and staff from getting overwhelmed. One of the most important jobs of a bouncer is to get people out of the bar when it comes time to legally shut down. This can be a difficult task and it requires a strong, motivated person.
